Personal power can’t be compared with power that is represented by a role in society, a position that you hold or resources that you are responsible for.
This kind of power is only temporary, since by definition it is associated with something that is outside of you. This type of strength and power can be lost at any time. True personal power comes from the inside and cannot be taken away. Either you choose to step into your personal strength, accept and allow it, or you don’t.
In other words, personal power always has something to do with the recognition of choices.
Design your life so that it is in harmony with who you are, what makes you happy and what values you have. It is not easy for all people to acknowledge their strengths and listen to the answers from within.
To express yourself authentically, you need willingness and inner research with the aim to find yourself and your own, inner centre.
Zhineng Qigong is a method that helps to be honest with oneself, openly and without judgement. In this state, we intuitively find new answers from within ourselves and thereby promote our own wisdom – independent of the opinions of others. We learn to see things from a new perspective and accept what is. From this pause, stillness and conscious perception, a new energy emerges which nourishes our personal power from the inside.
It is also important that we stop wanting approval from others. If we succeed in sharing our own truth in every situation and sharing what is really important to us, then we receive the respect and the attention that creates authentic encounters with those around us.
Zhineng Qigong also supports us to improve our inner conversations. This inner dialogue is directly responsible for whether or not we are in our personal power and have found our balance.
With upright, healthy thoughts we naturally and automatically develop our own personal strength. Unnecessary worries, assessments, restrictions, envy and shame are not only a waste of inner resources and energies, but also diminish our self-esteem.
“In every misfortune there is a blessing in disguise.” This practical application from the East also leads us to explore our own personal strength. No matter how challenging the circumstances are, if we succeed in learning from them and taking responsibility, then we will be able to find creative new solutions.

“Personal power is based on strength, confidence, and competence that individuals gradually acquire in the course of their development. It is self-assertion, and a natural, healthy striving for love, satisfaction and meaning in one’s interpersonal world. This type of power represents a movement toward self-realization and transcendent goals in life; its primary aim is mastery of self, not others.
Personal power is more an attitude or state of mind than an attempt to control others. It is based on competence, vision, positive personal qualities, and service. When externalized it is likely to be more generous, creative and humane than other forms of power.”
